DADAP :
Our Dadap comes from plantation estates around North Sumatra. Dadap belongs to the genus of Erythrina.
Dadap has many uses, one of the well known role is to act as a wind breaker for coffee plantation. When the trees reached an approximate age of 15 years, they become too tall to be an effective wind breaker. Thus they are harvested and replaced with younger trees.
The timber is of good characteristic and supported our woodworking industry. It is a versatile species and it had been used to replace certain forest products.
